My legs still hurt a lot… I need me a day of nothing to fix them >_<
You meet God.
He tells you hey, special offer, one time only, you can either have the choice to gain the power to fly, speak every language, read minds, or move things with your mind.
Which would you choose?
I’d take the power to fly. Fuck walking.
I worked from 11-7 yesterday at BHC, lemme tell you, It killed my legs. Not only did I forget to put sunblock on my legs, My legs are currently cramped to hell, and I have a 5-11 shift tonight at Odyssey. I wont be able to walk or move much at all, but it should still be fun and/or easy.
After that Kathy and I chilled out, finally played some PayDay, headed over to Stop and Shop to pick up instant noodles and get a Redbox movie. The movie we saw was 101 something something, which was basically a movie about how a guy learns about all 101 women he’s going to sleep with, but the problem is, he’s at number 29.. and she’s his soon to be wife.
The movie was funny, TONS of tits, and it was good.
Work tonight 5-11, call me bitches!
My grandmother, aka Nana, loves to have her picture taken. She’s pretty up there in the age bracket, I think she’s in her 80’s-ish. However, many people her age don’t want their picture taken, don’t like their picture taken, and don’t want to see themselves in pictures EVER. Wanna guess which kind of Old People I had on my cruise yesterday? Here’s a hint, it’s in the post name title.
We had 471 people on board. We had 6 pictures. We freaked out, called the boss, and he told us, “You’re getting on that ship, taking pictures, and praying to whatever god you know that they’ll buy them.” So we hopped on the Odyssey, took as many pictures as we possibly could, jumped off before it had to leave the docks, ran back and printed a ton of copies of the same pictures, went back to set up, and hoped for the best.
We had 6 pictures before we boarded the ship, 57 pictures after we left the ship and we had 95 pictures packaged and printed to sell, which tells you how many doubles we really had. Of the 95 printed, we sold 7, which made up for a $.30 percap. The record worst in the history of the Odyssey.
Fuck you old people, get your pictures taken!!!
After that fiasco, I worked BHC for a little while, then came home and went to Friendly’s with Kathy.
Working today 11a-7pm, all at BHC.
My feet hurt.
The double shift was alright.
Taylor really wanted that biscuit.
Good Night <3
Today was pretty easy at the Docks. I was there for photos at The Spirit Of Boston, the prettiest ship in the fleet we shoot. There were 4 huge groups and 2 small groups on the ship, which means usually a lot of couples and small groups making up one large group, and the majority were from churches, so they were all friendly and very Photogenic. God look at me, plugging my own work -_-;… Anyway, I was on line-flow, which means I greet them, tell them we’re taking a quick picture, then send them off to the photographer and have their picture taken. All that was easy, they were all friendly, and the line moved pretty quickly considering we had to shoot 200 people in a matter of 30 minutes.
After the pictures were taken, Ryan and Matt headed down to the office at Long Wharf to print and I stayed at the World Trade Center office to prep frames. Once Matt and Ryan came back, we had all the photos framed and out on the dock to be sold rather quickly. Then everyone came off the ship and it was packed and fast paced, we were selling photos every two seconds. Now normally our per-cap for Spirit is $3.25 which means for the 200 people on-board, we are expected to make $650… we made near $1600 today, an $8 per-cap, needless to say, we were quite pleased.
Other than that I came home and was pretty tired, so I had some lunch, layed low, talked to Kathy and Kristina and was going to go to the Train party tonight.. but then sleep hit me. I was supposed to be leaving at 7, I fell asleep around 5:30 and didn’t wake up till about 9. About 20 minutes later Tom and Emily showed up, they thought I had Taylor with me, but he was still at home, so Tom and Emily headed out and we called it a night, everyone, except for Taylor for once, needed to be up early tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a Double Shift for me
10:45a-3pm at Spirit
and
4pm-10pm at Odyssey
Today was fun, worked down at the docks from 10a-3pm, doing the same thing again tomorrow. Odyssey was packed with just a ton a ton a ton of old people who didn’t want their pictures taken, but of the people who we did shoot, most of them did end up buying photos.
After work I went over to the Post Office to meet up with Mom. She still had to work another hour, so I crashed in the Conference Room for a good hour, woke up, went to dinner with her to The 99, then came home and changed quick.
Kristina wanted to go see a movie, and really really really wanted to see Batman. She somehow hadn’t seen it, I was there for my second trip, and It was just as packed and just as good as the first time I saw it… which was 2 weeks after it opened. We’re now 6 weeks in, and it’s still selling out the theaters.
As stated above, I have work tomorrow, then I’m going to meet Kathy at the Train Party!!
Too much to talk about.
So Many people, so much fun,
but I have work at 10,
which means I need to wake up at 8
so I’m gonna sleep
Kara, Carolyn, Lindsay, Ryan, Matt, Lauren, Tall guy with the red hair, two random dudes, Taylor, myself… and Wii golf, this post is dedicated to you!
If you had to live the rest of your life only able to say one word, what word would it be?
My word of choice: Pepsi. I’d live the rest of my life going from diner to diner, restaurant to restaurant ordering a Pepsi. It works too because they always ask… “What’ll you have to drink?” .. “Pepsi” .. “Is coke ok?” .. “Pepsi” .. “We don’t have any” .. *nods. Even when It came time to order food, I’d still just sit there and point at what I wanted on the menu and if the waitress/waiter became confused, I could simple write on a napkin, “Sorry, but the only word I can say for the rest of my life is “Pepsi.” ”
Work tomorrow 3-7 at BHC.
